Dr. Mehrdad Ayati, MD

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine Geriatric Medicine Stanford University School of Medicine

Dr. Mehrdad Ayati, well known nationally and internationally in Geriatric Medicine, is a speaker, author, and educator. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and a member of Ethnogeraitric and Quality and Policy Measurement of the American Geriatric Society. Dr. Ayati is an advisor for many organizations related to the aging population, including the Alzheimer's Association, Northern California, Nevada chapter, the SRI (Stanford Research Institute), and the U.S Senate special committee on Aging.

Dr. Wendy T. Thanassi, MD

Associate Professor, Affiliated, Stanford Chief, Occupational Health, Palo Alto VA

Dr. Thanassi, trained in Emergency Medicine at Stanford and Yale, currently works primarily on national tuberculosis policies with various governmental and non-governmental agencies. She brings perspective from emergency and geriatric care at the VA and Stanford and from a career in ensuring workers' occupational health and safety.

Tami Anastasia, M.A., CSA

Alzheimer's & Dementia Consultant, Support Group Facilitator, Health & Wellness Advisor, Author & Speaker

Tami Anastasia is an Alzheimer's and Dementia Consultant and Educator. She has a Master's Degree in Counseling, a Certificate in Gerontology, and a Certificate in End of Life. She also has a private practice in Los Gatos called TAMS Alzheimer's and Dementia Support and provides one on one family caregiver support, guidance, and strategies to help make the dementia journey easier on the caregiver. She also works with people with dementia and provides cognitive and physical stimulation. In addition, Tami facilitates three local Dementia Caregiver Support Groups and has partnered with ElderConsult conducting monthly educational workshops.
